Marriage after divorce for men – social characteristics and (economic, psychological and social problems)

Abstract

: The study aimed to identify some of the social characteristics such as age, nature of work, custody of children, the duration of the first marriage for divorced men whom remarried, the most important reasons that prompted men to enter their second marriage, identifying the timing of marriage if it happened before or after divorce. Also, this study included some comparisons between some social characteristics related to the wife in the first marriage and the one in the second marriage. These comparisons are mainly focusing on method of acquaintance, marriage, educational level, age, social status, work. In addition to the mentioned comparisons, the study tried to identify problems faced by divorced men during their second marriage, including the economical, psychological, and social problems. This study is based on Descriptive research method and the use of a questionnaire for a sample of a group of 100 remarried men, and these men are having children from their first marriage
