The study problem is to know the state’s position on women’s exposure to abortion, the causes leading to it, and the relationship between exposure to abortion and some other variables. Data on abortion were obtained from the Ministry of Health in the River Nile State during the years (2012-2016). In this research, the descriptive and analytical method of data was used where the data were described using conjugation tables and graphical shapes, and the data was analyzed using chi-square. The study found that there is a significant relationship between the locality and the ages of women who have aborted, and that the majority of women who have aborted live in the localities of Shendi, Damer and Atbara, and the most vulnerable age group is the age group (25-44) years. The study recommended that there is a need to pay attention to maternal and childhood health, to provide health centers that deal with reproductive health, and to conduct more studies on the subject of abortion
