The impact of “Enhanced Rural Resilience in Yemen (ERRY) program on the economic and social empowerment of Yemeni rural women in Hajjah Governorate: Abs and Bani Qais districts

The aim of the research is to identify the impact of the Enhanced Rural Resilience in Yemen Programe (ERRY) on empowering rural Yemeni women economically and socially. The researcher uses descriptive analysis survey as a method of research. The sample of this study involver the women beneficiaries that received funding from the ERRY program to open a small projects in Abs and Bani Qais districts ,Hajjah Governorate, and the sample size of this study is (73).To achieve the aim of the study, the researcher used a questionnaire to survey the opinions of the research sample after making sure of its validity and reliability, and the study shows that woman who owns a small project has helped her participate in making family decisions at home, and It also helped her to be financially independent, which enabled her economically empowerment. In addition, woman owning a small project gave her self-confidence, and the ability to communicate and negotiate with others. Also, the study shows that there were no statistically significant differences at (α≤0.05) between the average responses of the sample members to the impact of owning rural Yemeni women for a small project and her economic and social empowerment according to (educational level - social status)
