Social Psychology: Experimental and Critical Approaches (Wendy Stainton Rogers, 2003)
Keywords:
Social Psychology, Experimental, Critical Approaches, Wendy Stainton RogersAbstract
The book entiteld Social Psychology: Experimental and Critical Approaches by the British writer Wendy Stainton Rogers examines two different approaches to social psychology - experimental and critical. The writer’s basic idea is that there is a great conflict between the two approaches, to the extent of being likened to two "camps, tribes or poles" in a devastating war, due to their different premises, and epistemological and ontological backgrounds. Therefore, the book does not seek to find a way by which the two approaches can be combined within one approach, but rather its goal is to explore and identify the strengths and weaknesses of each approach
