Challenges facing the new Palestinian media in strengthening the components of the home front

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the degree of appreciation of a sample of Palestinian university students for the challenges facing the new Palestinian media in strengthening the components of the home front through the community immunization project, and to reveal whether there are statistically significant differences between the averages of the sample members ’evaluation of these challenges due to the variables: (sex, Hours Used, Favorite Apps(, To achieve this, the researchers followed the descriptive and analytical method by applying a questionnaire consisting of (31) items to a sample of (381) male and female students from universities (Al-Azhar, Al-Israa, and Islamicuniversity). The results showed that the percentage of the respondents' higher estimate of the purpose of using new media was in favor of (following up developments) with a relative weight (29.9%), and (66.1%) of the respondents have subscriptions to digital groups (formal and informal) for security awareness, and that the degree of the respondents ’appreciation of the challenges facing the new Palestinian media in strengthening the components of the home front was medium with a relative weight (64.9%), There are no statistically significant differences at the level of (α≤0.05) between the average scores of the sample evaluation for these challenges due to the variable (Hours Used, Favorite Apps), while there were differences attributed to the gender variable in favor of male students
