This article is a part of the illustrious study on "neighborhood" that "Roderick Mackenzie" has conducted in the city of "Columbus, the capital of Ohio, through which he has attempted to draw conclusions about the loose definitions of the notion of neighborhood. In an effort to accurately define it, he examines various perspectives on the nature and boundaries of the neighborhood as well as the factors that help differentiate one neighborhood from another. Through a number of examples, Mackenzie outlines the principles on which social groups build their forms of interconnection and solidarity.
