Abstract

The study aims at identifying the most important social and cultural values derived from traditional children's games in Tunisia, and how to distribute them according to their types. It also aims at knowing the values available in such kind of games as well as knowing the practices which were repeated more than others in the the studied games, the role it played in raising generations and the related effect on their behavior, and the profound stock that it includes which, in its turn, carries within it human values , creativity and their related impact on the cohesion of the social fabric with its reflection on the stability of society and the preservation of its cultural heritage. The traditional games also contribute to the consolidation of social and cultural values, instilling it in the hearts of children and preparing them to adapt and accept them in order to become good citizens. Which means that these games carry in them many values, customs, traditions, and knowledge, and, thus, pass them on naturally and automatically from one generation to the next forming a popular culture rich in meanings in human and social implications, and the like
